The first drawings of Xavier Musquera are published when he is only 17 years old. His first work is published in Barcelona, but he is established quickly in England and Italy. In 1974, he draws '“Le Vicomte” for the magazine “la Louve”. From this moment, Musquera takes the pseudonym of Chris and specializes in adult comics, while working for Elvifrance, Campus and Media 1000, and others.

Concurrently to these erotic works, Xavier Musquera creates several historical series, during the Eighties. He starts with an adaptation of the Old Testament, then works for the collection “Great Battles of History”. He also collaborates with Franco-Belgian writers, like Stephen Desberg (“Envahisseurs sur Janus”), A. P. Duchâteau (“Peggy Press”) and Jean Dufaux (“Melly Brown”, “Lucius”). He continues his collaboration with Duchâteau in 1989 with three adaptations of the novels of the series “Mr Wens” of Stanislas-Andre Steeman.
